Unusual Historic Wine-Growing Estate near Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz, Spain
The estate lies between El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a region most famous for its “Manzanilla” wine, similar and some people even say superior to the popular “Fino” or “Sherry” wine. The estate grows the Palomino grape on 9 ha ( 22.24 acres) of excellent soil for this type of grape whose quality is ranking at the top of over 500 wine growers in the area. The most unusual and historic building whose origins are dating back some 250 years is accessed via a 1 km private drive way and sits on a small hill with 360º panoramic views. There are 961 sq m ( 10,344 sq ft ) of built area including 6 large bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are suites and two of them are located in two of the four towers. The living room as almost all other rooms are is accessed from the gallery surrounding the large central patio. The spacious and original kitchen features an integrated dining and living area.
